Isn't that cute?

Last week was a very busy one. We had to make several cakes with a lot of hand molded figurines. This one was by far the more elaborated one. It took me over 10 hours to make it. The horse was made with modeling chocolate and the kids with colored fondant. I was very happy with the final result, so was the client.

Cake of the week

Every weekend, after all the cakes were picked-up and delivered, my husband and I take a moment to pick the cake of the week. For the last two weeks I have been trying to post this picture on my blog, but since we are during a busy wedding season, I never had time to do it until now. So, this is a castle cake I made on July 3rd. A very lucky 3 year old girl chose every single detail on this cake

I finally have a blog

I always wanted to have a blog, but did not know how to set everything up. One day, my dear friend Karen Carrillo told me her daughter Jessica, could help me out. So, one day Jessica came to my store and after a few minutes...I HAVE A BLOG! Now (I was thinking to myself) I need to find some time to write all the things I want. Well, it's not easy to find some spare time during wedding season, but today, between finishing the last cake of the day and starting the one for tomorrow and another one for Sunday, I decided to take a little brake and start this adventure. Thank you Karen and Jessica.

Saturday, June 12th was my other good friend's daughter's 6th birthday. Although I did not have a chance to attend the party because I was too busy at the store, of course I made her cake. After the party was over, she (my friend Andrea) came to the store to share with me the good reports. Well, a week has past and she e-mailed me the pictures of the party and I could not resist to post one of them. This is Julia, she is the birthday girl's sister. Julia is only 2 years old and already gorgeous. I guess she liked my cupcakes, didn't she?
